Golden North Optics is a full service vision center located in the east end of Fairbanks, Alaska. We offer affordable options in eyecare and eyewear. Owner Christi Brand, a Licensed Optician, brings to you over 20 years experience serving the eyecare needs of Alaskans in and around Fairbanks.

We offer contact lens fittings and follow ups, new eyewear and contact lenses, non prescription sunglasses and sports eyewear, low vision aids and repairs.

Our own full service lab with state of the art equipment enables us to do most edging of lenses and production in a matter of days at competitive prices. We fill prescriptions from any Doctor.

*Alaska is a Licensed state for Opticians and only by completing extensive on the job training and by passing both a written exam as well as a practical exam can a person be licensed by the state to perform the duties of an Optician, these include the interpretation of a Doctor's prescription for the fitting of eyeglasses or contact lenses, the taking of precise measurements and a knowledge of optics, math and anatomy.
